We are many employees and works at different times around the clock at Unika Danmark A/S, therefore it is very important that all employees once in a while get the processes refreshed, so we always have the same approach, knowledge and understanding of the production. Therefor we have started a new course.
We have started in the composite department, where we are in the process of a course of six teaching modules. The course takes place in house and is handled by our quality department team with production basis, quality management, assessment of risk, problem solving techniques, complaint handling and Lean on the agenda. Between the course modules, the relevant employees are involved in current issues, where the different techniques show their worth in practice in the plastic injection molding, assembly and distribution.
The courses are not only ment to refresh Unika's values, policies and understanding of priorities, but they are also used to state that all employees are important in strengthening cooperation and communication throughout the company.
Although there is an agenda for each module, there is also room for brainstorming and suggestions for improvements. We have to “play” well with each other. The course started in December last year, and has already after the second module shown that there are constructive solutions from all teams to the challenges we sometimes experience.
“It is healthy for the organization that we refresh the processes and at the same time continuously improve. I see continuing education as a necessary investment in the employees' competencies and in our joint performance”, says Bo Johansen.
