Unika Danmark A/S' privacy policy has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals regarding to the processing of personal data and on the free exchange of such information.

 

How Unika Danmark A/S processes your data

As a data controller, Unika Danmark A/S processes information about customers, business associates, business partners, employees, applicants and persons who choose to subscribe to Unika Danmark A/S' web services and/or choose to enter into business agreements with Unika Danmark A/S.

Types of information

The information that Unika Danmark A/S processes about you depends on your association with Unika Danmark A/S, but is typically your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, business, company name (individual companies), account and payment information.

For applicants and employees, Unika Danmark A/S will also typically process information on professional qualifications and personal competencies, diplomas or other information about academic degrees, publications, previous employment, photo, date of birth, CPR number, salary, absence and health information.

The vast majority of information we receive directly from you, but the information may also come from publicly available sources, your former employers or partners and government agencies

For job applications received per e-mail we can inform you, that these will be deleted 30 days after the end processing.

Purpose

We process information about you for a variety of purposes depending on your association with Unika Danmark A/S. If you are a student, we process personal information about you in order to handle your enrollment at Unika Danmark A/S, and discloses information to the SU Board. If you are an employee, we will process information about you in order to handle your employment at Unika Danmark A/S and in this connection, among other things, will pass on information to SKAT.

If you are a customer, business associate or partner at Unika, we use the information to communicate with you. We also use the information to process your orders in accordance with our part of the deal/contract. Data is stored during the contract period for continuous follow-up on delivery of orders. At the same time, personal data is stored in order to comply with the Bookkeeping Act.

 If you have ordered delivery, your name, address, and telephone number, will be disclosed to the selected shipping company. Unika Danmark A/S' processing of personal data will always take place as result of compliance with legal obligations.

Storage and transfer

We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which the information has being processed. When it is no longer relevant to store your information for the purpose, eg. end of, or termination of contract,  the information is deleted or archived in order to comply with the Bookkeeping Act.

We use third parties to store and process data. These process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. The information is not transmitted to countries outside the EU.

Your rights

If Unika Danmark A / S processes information about you, you have a number of rights as registered:

  • You have the right to request access, rectification or deletion of your personal information.
  • You also have the right to oppose the processing of your personal data and, in certain cases, the processing of your personal data.
  • In particular, you have an unconditional right to oppose the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
  • If the processing of your personal data will be based on your consent. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. Your revocation will not affect the legality of the treatment made prior to your revocation of your consent.
  • You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided yourself in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).
  • You can always file a complaint with a data protection regulatory authority, e.g. Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet www.datatilsynet.dk)

We use cookies at www.unika.dk.

A cookie is a small passive data file stored on your computer which helps you remember previously visited websites and your preferences. At www.unika.dk, _ga cookies are used via Google Analytics, which assigns a unique ID to each visitor. This is used to follow how the website is used. This data is retained for 26 months.

Other traffic traces use _paq which assigns a unique ID to each visitor. This is used to follow how the website is used. This data is stored as long as we find the data relevant.

Except for the cases mentioned above, Unika Danmark A/S does not disclose data pertaining to each customer’s use of the services at www.unika.dk.

Cookies are anonymous and therefore do not contain any personal data. The data file is passive, so it cannot spread viruses or harm the computer or programs.

Opting out of cookies

You can delete all your cookies from your computer or actively opt in to or out of cookies for each website at any time. Opting in to and out of cookies is done in the browser settings on your computer. Therefore, the website provider cannot control or change it. You need to be aware that by opting out of cookies, you will become unable to use many functions and services, because it is a prerequisite for them that the website can remember your choices.
